1909 SC1$ HK-360. Rarity 5. NGC graded MS-64. Alaska-Yukon Pacific Gold. Gold. A light hairline scratch exists in the left obverse field. A trace of toning here and there on both sides. Nice semi-reflective surfaces. Pop 8; 4 finer, 3 in 65, 1 in 66.

The Territory of Alaska, issued quite a number of gold tokens, the first series being 1/4, 1/2, and one pennyweight (DWT) pieces of gold. Coined in 1909, in conjunction with the Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition, they have on their obverse a tall miner with pickax, the letters AYPE and denomination on reverse. The letters AYPE mean Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition.
