GREAT BRITAIN. 2 Guineas, 1701. Fr-312; Sb-3457; SC-5. William III. "Fine Work" issue (so called because of the luxurious styling of the King's long wig and deeply detailed portrait). The only date Double Guinea for the reign. Fully lustrous with a superb strike. This piece is finer than the Norweb specimen and is surely among the finest in existence. The fields are remarkable for such a massive gold piece. Rare type and Very Rare in grade. Choice About Uncirculated.
