Honorius, 393-423 AD. Gold Solidus (4.5g). Minted at Milan in 395 AD. Diademed and cuirassed bust facing right. Reverse: Emperor standing with foot on fallen captive, holds labarum and Victory in hand; star in field. RIC 1206; Depeyrot 16/2. A splendid specimen, well struck and lustrous. Nearly Mint State.
