Cilicia, Aigaei. 89/88 BC(?). AR Tetradrachm (14.5g). Year 16. Turreted and veiled bust of Tyche right. Reverse: Athena standing left, holding Nike in her right hand, spear and shield to right; date and club in left field. Bloesch, "Tetradrachms of Aegaea (Cilicia)," in Essays to Thompson, 3 (same obverse die); Bloesch, "Hellenistic Coins of Aegaea (Cilicia)," in ANSMN 27 (1982), 111 (same obverse die); SNG Levante 1655 (same obverse die). Cf: Triton III, lot 582. Lightly toned. Nearly Extremely Fine.
