Lot 1107

ANA and other coin memorabilia. An interesting lot consisting most importantly of a scrapbook purportedly once the property of ANA Charter Member #6, one John F. Jones, of Jamestown, New York. It contains his calling card, an old B&W photograph of Jones, handwritten notes on collecting and dealers, and pages of handwritten envelopes which must once have housed his tokens, as each is given a Low attribution and lengthy description. Also in this lot: 1887 Copper Coins list from Scott Stamp & Coin Co., B. Max Mehl's 1950 Jubilee sale catalogue with prices realized, 3 Star Encyclopedias issued by Mehl, and a leather Diary containing notes and rubbings mostly of Chinese coins. One for the nostalgia buff or researcher. Total of 7 items.
