Album of Thirty Cabinet Card Photographs of Presidents, Actors, Poets & Others. Album with cabinet photos of a variety of famous 19th century figures. They include Presidents: Lincoln, Taft, and Arthur; poets: Walt Whitman and Longfellow; lawyers: Clarence Darrow and William Jennings Bryan; actors: Edwin Booth, Ellen Terry, and Julia Marlow; politicians: James G. Blaine, Chauncey De Pew, and British prime minister W.E. Gladstone. Also, inventor Thomas A. Edison, reformer Henry Ward Beecher, author Washington Irving, and a Ferris Wheel at the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago. Other photos are unidentified but are certainly of prominent figures of the time. Most of the photographer's imprints are not visible, but those that are include: Pach Bros., Sarony, Pell, Bell, Sherman & McHugh, Baker, and Beck. The exterior of this album is worn and some of the photo holders pages have tears while the actual photographs are overall fine.
