Skylab 3, 1973, "Wives" Crew Patch Decal (4x4") This original decal is hand signed by the patch designer, Ardis Shanks, at the lower left. Pristine. Also included is a copy of an April 6, 1961 "Aviation Week & Space Technology" magazine with a cover photo: "First U.S. space shuttle vehicle poised for launch on Launch Complex 39A at the NASA Kennedy Space Center…". This photo was taken by the Patch designer, Ardis Shanks, when she attended the launch. She has signed the magazine cover below the Young/Crippen crew patch at the upper right. Virtually pristine condition. This magazine is one of only three left in the consigner's collection. A great pair.
