Antique 19th C. Presentation Cane For Lodge Member. 30¼ inch wood shaft with black lacquer finish. The golden knob handle features three sections of intricate floral and filigree etchwork that rise from the collar to an octagon-shaped top into which the former owner's name and lodge information have been inscribed. It reads: U.P. Lodge - No. 17 - Wm. Turner - 1894 - A.O. - U.W. The letters W.D. and possibly C are also marked on a tiny section of the collar's lower band. The shaft features very minor scratching and marring and runs down to a 1 inch metal ferrule with a darker ¼ inch tip. An attractive, historically appealing piece in good condition.
Estimated Value $1,500 - 2,000.
