Cardon, Anthony after Henry Singleton. The Surrender of Two Sons of Tippoo Sultaun. Published London, June 15, 1802 by A. Cardon and Messrs. Schiavonetti, 22½ x 26¾ inch sheet (465x585mm). Hand-coloring possibly later. Good condition; overall toning, a few marginal tears and professionally reinforced, with minor losses; some discoloration in margins. Legend in English and French. Professionally matted to 27¼ x 31¼ inches. Accompanied by the catalogue from Sotheby's Tipu Sultan Collection, London, 25 May 2005, in which a complete set of four similar engravings by Lamininet after Singleton brought £20,400.
