Lot 810

1825/3 Capped Bust Quarter Dollar. PCGS graded MS-64. Well struck and deeply toned. Deep silvery gray in color with russet brown accents sparkling from within due to the robust luster. This coin is new to the census and offers the viewer mint fresh luster beneath the toning plus problem-free rims. Well struck throughout, as well, and downright rare in this grade! Each of the obverse stars is not just full but exceptionally bold and complete, with the same razor-sharpness found throughout the reverse wing feathers. A full shield looks like it had been engraved into the dies with a modern laser beam it is show sharp and detailed. Compares favorably with the few known Proof early bust half dollars that occasionally make the rounds. Loaded with eye appeal, therefore, and never before seen so fine. Pop 1: None finer at PCGS. New to the Census. (PCGS # 38975) .
Estimated Value $8,000 - 8,500.
