Lot 75

1806 C-2 R4 Small 6 with Stems. EF-45 Plus. Frosty dark steel brown delicately mottled with medium chocolate brown. No roughness, only light contact marks scattered over both sides. The notable ones are a very light rim bruise left of the upper end of the hair ribbon, a small rim nick left of the L in LIBERTY, and a faint curved hairline scratch over the EN in CENT. MDS, Manley state 2.0, with sharp die clashmarks at RT in LIBERTY. The fields are hard and slightly reflective, and the fields on the reverse are covered with fresh die polishing lines. A sharp example, close to AU50, and at the lower end of the condition census for this popular "Redbook" variety.
