Lot 484
1834 N-5 R5 Large 8 & Stars with Medium Letters Reverse. Fine-12. Sharpness VF35 but covered with fairly uniform light roughness that's mostly hidden under a glossy dark olive and steel patina. No marks and just a hint of waxy greenish olive verdigris in protected areas. MDS with a fine double profile on the forehead, lips, and chin. An acceptable example of a scarce "Redbook" variety that seldom comes nice.
