1803 C-3 R2. EF-40. Ten points sharper with a microscopic planchet chip out of the cheek, a pair of small, shallow pitmarks at IB in LIBERTY, and a splash of reddish chocolate toning on the lower left portion of the reverse. Traces of extremely faint roughness show in these reverse stains. Otherwise the surfaces and eye appeal of this piece are excellent. Satiny mint luster shows through in the fields and protected areas on both sides. MDS, Manley state 3.0.
