1799/8 S-188 R4 Overdate 9 over 8. About Good-3. Sharpness VG10 but moderate to strong corrosion covers the planchet, strongest on the reverse. The date is complete and easily readable in spite of minor roughness in that area, and the legends are complete although a few of the letters on the reverse are severely weakened by the corrosion. No verdigris or contact marks. Chocolate and olive brown with traces of steel brown toning in some of the depressions. The overdate feature remains visible.
