1795 Washington Grate Halfpenny with Large Buttons Breen-1271. AU-50. Close to mint state with a fine disjointed pinscratch over LON in LONDON. Otherwise the surfaces are flawless. Frosty chocolate and olive brown with underlying satiny mint luster in the fields and protected areas. Nicely struck early die state. The only weakness is at LON in LONDON, but those letters are easily readable.
