Obv: A cross pattee enclosed by legends in two circles, the inner circle earing the name of the ruler and the outer one the words BENDICTV. SIT. NOME. DNI. NRI. IHV. XPI., an abbreviation of benedictum sit nomen domini nostri Jesu Christi. Reverse Chapel or city gate and the inscription TVRONIS CIVIS surrounded by a wreath of lilies. Louis IX was the first ruler to issue the Grand Tournois. Scarce. Attractively toned. About Extremely Fine.
