Vespasian, A.D. 69-79. AR Denarius, Lugdunum mint, struck c. A.D. 70/1. Laureate head right of Vespasian. Reverse: [IVDAEA] DEVICTA; to left of palm tree, personification of Judaea standing left with hands bound. Cf. RIC 289. C. 243. H-770. Fine/Fair.

This very rare coin type is normally found as a fourrée. However, this example is the seldom seen regular issue, and shows no signs of being a fourrée and weighs a full 3.01 grams.
