1869 Dollar Octagonal. NGC graded MS-65 Deep Prooflike. A magnificent example of the so-called Necklace Bust Type! Features a nice bold strike and blazing deep mirror surfaces throughout. This design by the Robert B. Gray company whose initial is tucked up tight under the portrait. Scarce in Gem condition and worth a strong premium. This scarce Octagonal Dollar is the finest BG-1106 certified by NGC and a winner in any grading contest: Pop 1 with none finer.
