Lot 166

1804 C-6 R2. VF-30. Spiked Chin. Five points sharper but someone tried to smooth away the dull die defects in the field near the dentils over the bust tip. These defects are normal on all examples of the variety and were caused by the same event that created the "Spiked Chin" feature. At least they were careful and did a good job--misdirected as it was. Glossy chocolate and steel brown with frosty lighter brown in protected areas of the reverse. LDS, Manley state 12.0 late, Braig state 9.0. The small triangular cud break at the top of the O in OF is clearly raised.
Estimated Value $150 - 200.
Ex Lanny Reinhardt 10/95.

Realized $242
