Lot 152

1804 C-6 R2. VF-30. Spiked Chin. Five points sharper but there is a short pinscratch in the field over the bust tip and a sharp, thin nick just right of the numerator of the fraction. Otherwise the surfaces are quite nice for the grade. Frosty chocolate and steel brown with frosty light golden brown toning mottled into the protected areas of the reverse. Rare MDS, Manley state 5.0, Braig state 3.0. The cud break at ME is fully raised suggesting that a piece of the die has fallen away. This is the Manley plate coin for the die state. Another really great example of a very tough die state.
Estimated Value $300 - 400.
Ex Rick Leonard.
