Lot 151

1804 C-6 R2. VF-35. Spiked Chin. Five points sharper with a small spot of reddish verdigris inside the curl left of the shoulder and a similar patch in the field off the end of the bust tip. Otherwise the surfaces are quite nice and the reverse fields are slightly reflective thanks to a fresh die polishing that left behind some very fine die lines in the field around OF. Frosty chocolate and steel. Rare MDS, Manley state 4.5, Braig state 2.9. The retained cud break at ME is fully raised on the left end and partially raised on the right end. Another great example of a rare die state.
Estimated Value $400 - 500.
Ex John Peters, 2003 EAC Sale, McCawley & Grellman Auctions, lot 92.
