1870-S $1 Gold Indian. NGC graded AU-58. A scarce high grade coin as only 3000 were minted. This is a popular rarity that turns up only occasionally in auctions. Quickly snapped up by appreciative bidders. Choice, lustrous, well maintained, with only a few tiny marks in the left obverse field. Date and mintmark are bold, as is the wreath on the reverse.
