1855-C $1 Gold Indian. PCGS graded AU-53. Nice golden toning. Softly struck in the centers as always, most notable on the word DOLLARS and a portion of the date. An very scarce issue and the only Charlotte Mint strike using the Small Indian Head device; bold strike are unheard of in this issue. All the same, the collector of C and D Mint gold will find everything he could want from the grade, and probably then some. Only 9,803 minted. Pop 10; 21 finer. (PCGS # 7533) .
