1794 C-2b R6. VG-7. Large Edge Letters. Sharpness Fine-15 or slightly better in places but the planchet was flattened at the top leaving LIBER and the opposing area at the left side of the fraction to the adjacent UN gone or severely weakened. The surfaces are covered with uniform microscopic granularity that is partially obscured under a slightly glossy dark olive and steel patina. No verdigris or additional contact marks. The date is strong and the legends are clear except where affected by the aforementioned dent. The large edge letters are complete and strong, including the ones in the dented area. EDS, Manley state 1.0, without any die clashmarks. The reverse is not rotated. Weight 104.5 grains. In the middle of the condition census with only three examples known grading better than Very Good.
