Lot 1076

1893-S Morgan Dollar. PCGS graded AU-53. Untoned with plenty of luster still intact. Popular key date and always in demand. The nicely bright surfaces on both sides show luster throughout the main devices, extending into the fields. Important key date Morgan Dollar. A worthwhile rarity by any standard, the luster is still intact in a more than just the protected regions around the letters and devices, while smooth light silvery gray color predominates and no toning spots as sometimes blossom on these like dandelions in the springtime. No, this coin has the look that collectors like. It has the absence of marks on Liberty's cheek that pays dividends when the time arrives to sell. Furthermore, the strike, like the surface freshness, is confident, full, indeed, as bold as any seen. Only 100,000 were minted. Most wore extensively in circulation. The few high grade pieces soon get snapped up. Pop 56; 68 finer (PCGS # 7226) .
Estimated Value $20,000 - 24,000.

Realized $19,838
