Lot 4804

1896 $20 Liberty. PCGS graded MS-65. Very choice for the grade. Bright mint luster characterizes the surfaces on this lovely toned piece. It is gorgeous. It shines. Indeed, it outshines all others of its date and mint. Enough for the luster. In the end, it is this coin's detail that grabs a person's attention: devices foursquare and bold throughout. This includes incredible detail in the hair and on the eagle, with 13 full supporting stars on the obverse, and 13 full little pearls along the edge of the coronet with strong LIBERTY in raised letters thereon. The only thing to do is for bidders to pull their act together and start with a fresh slate when the opportunity knocks to place your bid or bids (since we expect there will be multiple bidders on this beauty). Pop 2; None finer at PCGS. (PCGS # 9029) .
Estimated Value $15,000 - 18,000.

Realized $23,000
