1858-D $5 Liberty. PCGS graded AU-58 PQ. CAC Approved. Well struck and lightly toned with a couple of fine lines in the left obverse field. Rarely seen in this choice condition, an attractive AU58 specimen with a wealth of remaining luster on its medium gold surfaces. Nicely struck in many areas with just a touch of incompleteness at the lower denticles on the obverse. The eagle is strikingly bold. A handsome coin. Only 15,362 minted.

The collector will delight in this 1858-D offering, as it showcases the Dahlonega branch mint and offers rarity in high grade at an affordable figure, creating opportunities that in some instances may not be repeated for other dates in the series.Pop 18; 8 finer (PCGS # 8278) .
