U.S. Mint Medal, 1866 General Meade, Julian PE-20. Bronze, 80mm, by Anthony C. Paquet and signed by him on obv. and rev. Mint State 60. Struck to honor Major General George Meade as Victor at the Battle of Gettysburg. Paquet's outstanding design struck in high relief. A few tiny scattered spots do not seriously detract from the eye appeal of this specimen, with handsome slightly reddish mahogany coloration.
Estimated Value $300 - 400.

Realized $528
