Lot 3909

1937-D Buffalo Nickel. 3 legs. NGC graded MS-62. Mostly untoned. FS-020.2. A lustrous specimen with natural color over both sides. Nearly fully struck, or as full as 3-Leg '37-D nickels are found due to the worn dies, just a hint of limitation in the detail at the bison's shoulder. The moth-eaten look of the hind leg is one of the features of this unusual variety (PCGS # 3982) .
Estimated Value $2,500 - 2,600.

Realized $2,875
