1927-S Buffalo Nickel. PCGS graded MS-64. The surfaces are nearly flawless barring a few almost microscopic marks on the neck by the hair braid. Much more lustrous for the issue than is usually seen, the nickel gray surfaces are nearly gem with some fresh patina accenting the color. A munificent strike for this often poorly made issue, as well as freedom from the usual clash marks and flyspecks typical for this semi-key date. This is a coin to jump at before it's sale is history. Housed in an old green holder. Magnificent rainbow toning on both sides. Pop 298; 20 finer in 65 (PCGS # 3962) .
Estimated Value $4,000 - 5,000.
The Harpeth Valley Collection.
