1798 S-147 R5-. Fine-12. Style I Hair with Large 8. Sharpness near VF35 but the planchet is covered with fine granularity mixed with myriad old, light scratches. There are a couple specks of verdigris visible under magnification and some small contact marks, including a sharp nick in the hair over the shoulder and a smaller one in the field above the end of the hair ribbon. Slightly glossy chocolate and steel brown mixed with splashes of darker chocolate on both sides. The date and legends are complete and clear. EDS, Breen state I, with the left side of the reverse weakly struck while the right side is strongly impressed.
