1794 S-22 R1 Double Struck. Good-6. Sharpness closer to Fine-12 but there are numerous rim nicks and light rim bruises on each side plus a deep dig under CA in AMERICA and additional smaller contact marks scattered over both sides. Glossy medium brown. The planchet is free of any corrosion or verdigris. Double struck with an offset of about a millimeter between the two impressions. The doubling is clearest at the bust, date, and cap. MDS. Double struck cents of 1795 are relatively common, but double struck 1794's are extremely rare.
