Lot 3236

Uruguay. One Peso 1917. KM-23, Eliz-8. A one year type portraying national hero José Gervasio Artigas Aznar, 1764-1850, the Father of Uruguayan Independence. He was a great admirer of the United States and was rumored to have always carried a copy of the United States Constitution with him. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated, overlaid with lovely golden-orange toning, and now getting Rare in this state. Disregard KM's silly catalog value that hasn't changed in a decade or more. NGC graded MS-63.
Estimated Value $750 - 1,000.

Realized $1,093
