Julius Caesar, d. 44 BC. AR Denarius minted at the mint moving with Caesar, 48-47 BC. Head right of Pietas, age of Caesar behind (52 years). Reverse Gallic trophy; below, kneeling captive (Vercingetorix ?). Cr. 452/5; Syd. 1011. Well-centered, banker's mark on cheek; Very Fine, Very Rare.

Infrequently offered, this is the rarest of all the military issues of Caesar minted in silver.
