Bruttium. Kroton. Circa 370 B.C. AR Nomos (stater). Laureate head of Apollo facing right. Reverse: Infant Herakles, kneeling right, head turned left, strangling a serpent in each hand whose body folds entwine his body. BMC 96; S-475. Wonderful high relief style of sound metal and delicately toned. Choice Very Fine and Very Rare.
