King crowned and enthroned facing, head right, holding scepter and globus cruciger; EADPARD REX ANG·o around. Reverse: Central circle, short voided cross within, a bird (eagle) in each angle; +ÆLFPINE ON HAM around. Well struck (in high relief, with no doubling), on a choice, full-size flan, with raised rims. Handsome artistic toning, medium to deep gray, with a few silvery areas. A truly elegant, in fact stunning, example. Very Rare in this quality as most known pieces evidence dramatic double-striking. Virtually As Struck. NGC graded AU-55. Estimated Value $1,500 - 1,800.
