Great Britain. Archbishop of York. AR Sceat, ND (struck c. 765-766 AD). North-193 var; S-854. 1.02 grams. Ecgberht, 737-758 AD. York mint. Struck during the reign of Ahlred, King of Northumbria. Small cross at center, EcgberhT A R around. Reverse: Small cross at center, Alnhrdh around. Good strike on fine but faintly porous metal. Attractive toning, slightly lighter and faintly colored at centers; lustrous. Extremely Rare, about 10 believed known, this in remarkable condition. NGC graded AU-55.

Among the finest known. An important accompaniment to the previous three coins in terms of regal relationships.
