Lombard Kings. Pseudo-Imperial Coinage, c. 620-700 AD. Gold Tremissis (1.44 g), struck in Tuscany. Rare. Struck in the name of Heraclius (610-641 AD). Small Flan Variety. Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right. Reverse: Cross potent; VΠIOΠV AVΠIOHVN. MEC 314 var.; Arslan 80-82 var. Perfectly centered and sharp, with light reddish tone. Small rim bump at bottom, otherwise delightful style for this series. Nearly Mint State.
