Peru - Republic. 8 Escudos, 1831 -G (Cuzco). Fr-63; KM-148.2. 26.98 grams. Tri-segmented shield of arms supported by crossed flags, and crowned above by wreath. Reverse: Liberty as Pallas Athene, stands frontal supporting cap on spear, while one hand rests on shield. A better strike on a choice flan. Lustrous and very clean, aside from some modest planchet flaws on reverse. Proof-like reflective fields. Rare in this grade. One of the finest known examples. NGC graded MS-62.
