Passport for Dr. Guillermo Short, minister of the United States. Stamped signature by Charles IV; bold ink signature by Godoy (1767-1851) who was Prime Minister of Spain from 1792 to 1797 and from 1801 to 1808, and who, in effect, ruled Spain with the Queen, Maria Louisa of Parma, until they fell victim to Napoleon.
