APOLLO 11, 1969, U.S.S. HORNET RECOVERY SHIP PRESENTATION PATCHES. This lot consists of three different 5.5" patches, each issued by the U.S.S. Hornet, mounted on a presentation card (12x15") with a printed inscription: "24 November 1969 / Presented to Mr. Jerome B. Hammack, Director Landing and Recovery Division, Manned Spacecraft Center". Two of the patches relate to Apollo 11 and one of them relates to Apollo 12. Unless we are quite mistaken, the patches, themselves, are quite scarce in their own right. The card is lightly toned, but a unique presentation.
