European Antique Silver Bird Box with Clock. A wonderful antique silver bird box with clock embedded in the front panel, ca. late 19th-early 20th century, oval shape, 5" by 3 3/4", with six impressed hallmarks/makermarks on reverse 800 WWH (in heart), a crescent moon, five petaled flower and numeral 2. Decorated with floral designs and on the lid 28 green cabochon stones and 4 cabochon pearls surround the bird opening. The box in very good age appropriate condition and the automata in excellent working condition with key (the chirping bird is utterly charming!). The clock is windable, but has not been tested for accuracy.
