Japan. Pair of Meiji Period decorated vases. A set of two bronze vases, each 7 inches in height, decorated with silver and gilt flowers and birds. The predominant feature on each is an eagle or falcon in different positions, perched in observation on one and dramatically diving with outspread wings on the other. An attractive pair in very good condition whose appearance would be enhanced by a gentle cleaning.
