Rodin, Auguste. Mouvement De Danse. 12¾" x 9½" pencil and gouache (Mine de plomb et gouache Inv. D. 4418) with several words written in the plate, which include "vase à champagne" and "volupté"; the stamp (M.R) of the Musée Rodin at lower left, with the number 4418 below it; to its immediate right is an embossed stamp, "Procédé Jacomet." Some soiling in the top right blank corner and in the crook of the dancer's arm; lighter soiling at blank top center. Housed in the original 21¾" x 15¾" matte from the Rodin Museum in which it was purchased in 1986.
