Rodin, Auguste. Ugolin Dans Sa Prison. (1840-1917) French sculptor and artist. 6 7/8" x 4 15/16" pencil, ink, and gouache (Mine de plomb, plume et encre noires, lavis bruns et rehauts de gouache, Inv. D. 7208)), signed in the plate ("Aug Rodin") by the artist at lower right; the plate also has the stamp (MR) of the Musée Rodin to the left of Rodin's signature; at lower left is an embossed stamp, "Procédé Jacomet." Two tiny creases at right margin. Housed in the original 21¾" x 15¾" matte from the Rodin Museum in which it was purchased in 1986.
