Panama Canal Photos and Theodore J. de Sabla Velocipedes Patent. Letters Patent issued to Theodore J. de Sabla for "an alleged new and useful improvement in Velocipedes," Washington, 1886 May 11.de Sabla was one of Count de Lesseps representatives in New York City and a director of the Panama Railroad Company. With a 7½" x 5¼" albumen photo of his father, the Marques de Joly de Sabla, who was an early exponent of a canal across the Isthmus of Panama. Also, ten 5" x 6½" photos of Panama, c. 1908-1910, showing work on the Gatun Locks, the steamship Colon, the Canal during a flood, etc., and two 8" x 10" albumen photographs by Lloyd of Connecticut Governor Bulkeley at Camp Embler, Niantic, Conn. Aug. 18 to 23, 1890. Overall very good.
