1906 Panoramic Views of San Francisco After the Earthquake and Fires. Two supplements to the San Francisco Examiner , copyright 1906 by Geo. R. Lawrence & Co., Chicago, showcasing progressive damage to the city following the catastrophic April 18, 1906 earthquake. The first, published on May 27, 1906, 19" x 32 ½", shows a "Birdseye View…From Twin Peaks" with the burned area demarcated by a white line; the second, published June 3, 1906, 22 ½" x 32 ½", shows a "Panoramic View…From the Water Front" with almost the entire area burned down. The first has a few small fold tears, the second has minor wear.
