French Military Hussar Flintlock Cavalry Carbine, c. late 18th - early 19th century. 20".72 cal. round steel barrel marked at breech; "541", a "Fleur-de-lis" facing a "Fleur-de-lis". Brass furniture. 35" overall length. Stock is solid with normal scratches and dings from years of service. The barrel has a later mark; "Germany" as international law once required export items to be marked with country of origin, indicating the weapon was in Germany and exported sometime in the 20th century.
