French Military Artillery Cartridge/Fuse Bandolier, c. late 18th - early 19th century. Used by the Heavy Cannon/Artillery Corp. and may have seen service in the Napoleonic Wars. Box measures 4" x 6¾" and its reverse has a hand-painted museum inventory #24905. Heavy tared leather construction with faded black velvet lining. All furniture is gilt copper, bronze, or brass with 40% gilding remaining. A very scarce example in untouched condition.
