Colt Model 1849 Pocket Pistol. A "gentleman's" five shot, black powder pistol in 31 caliber with a five inch barrel. Brass guard and strap, all parts with matching serial number "314601". The action in good working order with aprox. 80% original bluing remaining, a short scratch on the left side of the barrel and some minor handling marks on the cylinder, as well as on the original laquered wood grips, but overall Very Good condition. This pistol has been on loan to a Civil War Museum in Richmond, Virginia for the past 35 years and is now available to the collecting public.
